Thank you @Philippe Lions-Oracle for the speedy response. This helps us position our own adoption for production scenarios. We'll have to manage and accept the risk per scenario. Is there any form of adoption to core offering and associated timeline for some of these visual capabilities?

I'd love for Oracle to also publish more working scenarios walk through for the above topic. The Issues encountered in connecting with 3rd party technologies is wide and varied. Security and Authentication methods being the number one area that lacks technical definition guidance.

Genuine Graph Relationship Visuals supporting Graph based functions and relationships. Essentially Integrating the visual capabilities in Oracle Graph Studio with the Mainstream Oracle Analytical tool. Why send your customers to two tools to carry out visual investigations ?

I completely agree. I feel Oracle is behind the times on this one and is loosing more competitive advantages compared to other BI tools. I also posted a similar message some time ago but took a more generic approach to the change for all data source definitions. (See below) Why would Oracle restrict what can be done here..…

Also from a OAS Scope / source support perspective there is already a precedence here with OAS supporting the likes of Essbase Hierarchy navigations or incoming AI Interactions (Custom source specific capabilities). I'm not expecting answers to this specifically, only conveying my hopes.

ia Thanks Gianni, your response detail and effort is greatly appreciated. Calling out the practical separation between 'SQL/PGQ' and pure 'PGQL' particularly the value add Algorithms. For me it's the emphasis on "Complete Analytical Analysis" and not having to jump between multiple visual exploration tools to garner…

Yes would love to know.... This is a serious gap for large enterprise user communities. You must provide a free text key value par capability as well. Many organizations stuck on this point.

Thank you Gianni for the clarity on the PGQ usage, this helps. We'd love for Oracle to take the approach of utilizing it already front of house Visual Analytics platform (OAC/OAS) in the Graph space. This way the interactivity possibility between the types of content created would have a far more hands on business benefit.…

Thanks Philippe, This is useful information. On what you referenced in the youtube posts, I take it the Graph Functions being referenced are not related to the new Oracle 23c Graph Offering but rather the Legacy Graph offering from Oracle? Any additional information you have to help paint the picture here would be…

I would like to see a means to connect to Oracle Graph 23c models and traverse them within Data Visualizer. Make it interactive between the traditional relational visualizations and their associated Graph models. It would also provide a means to integrate across the Oracle platforms.

BTW this should be for any database / source connection definition across the analytics suite... not just the DV component.

This is a must for large organizations who use the likes of PingIdentity for securing their platforms. We have this as an open issue and causes issues for adoption regarding our enterprise security. https://www.pingidentity.com/en/resources/identity-fundamentals/authentication-authorization-standards/oauth.html

Anyone get a conclusion to this? Do Oracle Product managers monitor the chats here? I'd love to hear the perspectives here on product direction verses undocumented changes in behavior between V12 and OAS...

Thanks for responding Stewart. Agreed and understand on the RPD approach however my angle here is on the "Self Service" and Community Collaboration type efforts that the likes of analysts and research groups thrive on. Oracle's Competitors have addressed this by forcing anyone who does not own the Data Source they have to…

Anyone got any ideas for this? This will be causing issues for the "Self Service" adoption regarding the Visualizer Component.

Same issue, just seeing a blank screen with the Academy Title..... it's like it fails to load. Did you get around this?
