Enable Data Action Link when DV Project is integrated in Classic BI Dashboard

The data action option works when DV Project is opened directly but when DV Project is embedded in Classic BI dashboard, the data action link option disappears.
This is restricting to use dashboard and DV together as key drill-down functionality is lost.
Use Case and Business Need
This will help to publish DV Project within Classic BI dashboard to a larger user group with drill-down capability.

Hi,
I agree depending on how you embedded the function would not work. Also if you have the project in presentation mode it also do not work. The ability of having it available would be of high added value indeed.
We are using the data action in DV projects embedded in Classic for some time now and the way we do it through the Data Action calling a URL. So you would need to have both DV projects you want to be linked embedded in Classic and be using classic prompts to receive the data fields you are transferring. It is not optimal, but it works as a work-around.

While this is planned, the consideration is to address this scenario by opening a new tab with the "navigated to" content.

Data Actions are supported on embedded visualization starting OAC Jan 2024 update.
