    Hi @User_I895I,

Welcome to the Oracle Analytics Community!

Have you selected at least one measure from both Subject Areas?

Here are some Best Practices that needed to be considered while combining the Multiple OTBI SAs:

    • You should have common dimension in the subject areas used in the report.
    • Add at least one Measure/Fact/Metric from each subject area on the report.
    • Click on the Advance tab of the Analysis report --> Scroll down till you see Advance SQL clause --> Check the Dimensionality check box --> click on Apply SQL button. Go to the Results tab and test the results.
    • Need to consider the lowest grain at which the Subject Areas built.
    • More than one subject area reports are complex reports, make sure to apply proper filters on the report otherwise there might be performance impact.
    • High level steps to debug the issue:
      • Create a simple report with one subject area and make sure it is returning data & working.
      • Remember to add as many dimension columns from first SA and add at least one measure.
      • Apply filters.
      • Add second subject area add required dimension columns and don't forget to add measure.

    Hope this help.

    Thank you.

    Hi @User_I895I,

Below steps are the minimum set of steps required , to access data through cross subject area analysis

    1. Please make sure that columns from a CONFORMED Dimension are included in the analysis (= a dimension common to both subject areas )
    2. Include at least one Fact / Measure column from each subject area - In this case two Fact columns - one from each subject area - In case you do not need the Fact column to be displayed, then you can hide the column.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab and check the DIMENSIONALITY check box below " Advanced SQL Clauses" option and click apply SQL before we check data in results tab

For greater detail, other possible requirements and explanation refer to:

1567672.1 - Fusion Applications OTBI: Guidelines for creating cross subject area analyses in Oracle Transactional BI (OTBI)

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/otbi/otbi-user/combine-subject-areas-analyses.html#GUID-8B9DF9B1-20E3-4F88-8EEE-0714EF6E2F63

If you are still getting error then these subject areas are not compatible for cross subject area analysis. You need to split the report into two each created with one subject area.
