OAS 2025 - data visualisation limitations (Taleo)

We use Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) exclusively for Taleo Recruiting and have recently upgraded to version 25A. However, the new version seems to have a different look and feel to the standard we see published, and the data visualization features appear to be limited.

The view we are presented with are the classic style pages without the option to create workbooks/visualisations for the more sophisticated analytics.

Please can someone advise?

Is your OAS 2025 installed as standalone and point to Taleo as a source? Or is that an "embedded" version, and therefore it isn't really OAS?

The screenshot is "classic" but your user has no permission to create anything there, if you have a full OAS try going to /dv to see if you have more options. Maybe you have some "strange" security with only permissions for DV but not "classic" (the catalog is the same, therefore that's why you see your catalog in /analytics).

If your OAS isn't standalone but an embedded solution in your Taleo product, you should ask in the Taleo forum to find out what they did there and what kind of feature they provide.

  • Hi Clare,

If it helps, Taleo team publishes this technical note.

Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition: Updates to Oracle Analytics (Doc ID 2969356.1)

As mentioned, this is something to be addressed with Taleo team.

  • That confirms you don't have OAS as a product, but an embedded version of an Oracle Analytics product. And it also confirms the previous suggestions that you should work on it from the Taleo side because it's their choice what they allow you to use and how.
