Description

Archive and Un-archive of Catalog from offline mode for OAS 5.5 customer. Since, we really can't take care of retaining customer customizations or user(My Folder) as part of upgrade process via online mode. This would be definitely a required feature for implementation projects for cloud customers. 

We really can't suggest them to use GUI(snapshot) path. Since, it would be really hard to cater N number of environment for multiple cloud customers. 

Any process, which would take care of pushing the below components like RPD, catalog, system jazon(security), DV components from development to production. Without loosing the customers existing (custom Reports, DV objects, Dashboard) would be a win-win on this IDEA

Use Case and Business Need

Lets take a customer (GAP Fashion Retailor)

current version say RI 18.0.x. if customer is expected to upgrades to RI 19.0.x 

1. Retail existing customer reports (catalog)

2. Patch our new dashboard from development's side

If, BAR is deployed. without taking care of archival then Customers reports would be lost in the process of deployment of BAR. We, do not have any usecase or path to retain customers' catalog or merging those with development(factory BAR)
