In our organization, Starburst became a central point to exchange data between data product.
Have a direct connector on OAC would allow simple access on all data under Starburst and access to analytic.

We are also in the process of utilizing Starburst semantic layer with OAC using JDC connection. Direct connector from OAC to Starburst(Trino) is helpfull.
Can you please provide any use case document on how to connect OAC with Starburst semantic layer setup?

We successfully completed an end-to-end test between OAC and Starburst via the datagateway.
On the other hand, the solution does not live up to our expectations. The use of the JDBC connector seems strongly restricted:
- in terms of the complexity of the query
- in terms of the number of columns selected
- in terms of the number of rows returned
We lose the interest in going through starburst. So, direct connector from OAC to Starburst(Trino) would be really helpfull.

Would it be possible to share high level implementation steps for OAC and Starburst via the datagateway?
I was able to load Java Datasources into RPD and while importing metadata using JDBC(Direct Driver), I am getting JDS Error: 116 JDBC Connection Error

Connector for Trino is on the roadmap. No timeline at this time.

Yes, We raised oracle service request(SR) for the same. We got the same response as no tentative time lines for the deliver of this connector
