OSMH: Enabling OSMH plugin fails with "plugin oci-osmh waits when plugin osms is enabled"

Symptoms
Attempting to enable OSMH on an instance that was previously registered with OSMS fails with the error: 'plugin oci-osmh waits when plugin osms is enabled', despite successful deregistration from OSMS.

Cause
This issue is a console issue related to redwood preview.

Solution

  • Change the OCI Console to Redwood mode (lower right corner - hand toggle)
  • Click on the Management Tab, then disable the OS Management Service Agent
